Sana Oris prosthesis laboratory

Our establishment has its own prosthesis laboratory (CEREC technology). This allows us to control the quality of the prostheses made by our prosthetist and also to reduce the time needed to make them.

Each prosthesis is validated by the practitioner and the prosthetist before being placed in the mouth.

How to choose a prosthesis adapted to your needs?

There are several types of dentures:

  • the fixed ceramic prosthesis offers a great aesthetic quality, an increased comfort and also a better function.
  • The removable resin prosthesis is a more economical and easier option.

To know which prosthesis to choose, the following conditions must be met:

  • The dentist must perform a thorough dental examination and periodontal examination, as we do in our facility.
  • The planning of the clinical case must be done correctly, especially regarding the surgery and the prosthesis.
  • The design of the prosthesis must take into account the loads that it will have to support and the perfect fit of the parts to avoid forces that could cause overuse of the implants.

The training and experience of the dental surgeon are essential elements of success in order to provide excellent care. These elements are an integral part of our dental approach and contribute to the personalization of the treatment adapted to each individual.

By having its own on-site prosthesis laboratory, our establishment guarantees a permanent exchange between the prosthetist and the dentist:

  • for the most complex cases, it is the certainty to answer in the best way with a customized answer;
  • for the most classic cases, it is the guarantee of a faster and high quality treatment, with a global care without loss of time or information between the various participants.

CEREC technology

CEREC (Chairside-Economical-Restoration-Esthetic-Ceramic) technology is an innovative technique based on the creation of a prosthesis of a prepared tooth, using a 3D camera and the latest digital modelling technology.

From the images processed by a powerful software, it is possible to create a virtual model that serves as a basis for the restoration. The information is immediately passed on to the milling unit, which then proceeds to automatically produce the restoration in a ceramic block: this fully digitised process guarantees extreme precision.

This innovative technology is most often applied to crowns and direct inlays, offering the advantage of fabricating a restoration in a single visit.

This is a real time and comfort saver for the patient.

The optical microscope for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes

The high-resolution optical microscope is a state-of-the-art piece of technology that is used daily at Sana Oris.

  • The phase contrast microscope allows, during a periodontal check-up, to immediately explore the oral flora and to determine its pathogenic or non-pathogenic character: it is a precious tool to explore a periodontal disease or to explain a bad breath, even with mild clinical signs.
  • The operating microscope allows for extreme precision in endodontic treatment inside the tooth, in order to accurately assess the state of the pulp and the root canal. The Sana Oris team includes an exclusive endodontic dentist, which allows us to handle the most complex cases, including some root canals.

3D digital scanner

The fitting of dental prostheses or the quality of orthodontic care often requires the taking of a dental impression: the quality of the prosthesis will depend directly on the quality of this dental impression.

To increase precision and ensure perfect congruence, while offering greater comfort to the patient, Sana Oris offers digital impressions. Optical impressions from the Itero or Omnicam brands allow an exact 3D model of your dental arch. This digital image will enable our in-house prosthetist to offer you high-quality prostheses, or our orthodontist to optimise the treatment plan with customised Invisalign invisible aligners.

This is the philosophy of Sana Oris, which uses the latest scientific and technological advances to provide its patients with reliable and precise treatment. Our broad technical platform guarantees comprehensive and exhaustive treatment at all stages of dental care.
